Do you ever draw a blank when creating social media content for your brand? Are you unsure of what social media platforms you should be on to build your brand and your business? Let me share the 4 C’s of Social Media.

The Four P’s of Marketing

You probably are familiar with the Four P’s of Marketing. The marketing mix is a vital tool to help understand what products or services can offer. The key categories of marketing a successful good or service are product, price, place, and promotion.

SOCIAL MEDIA FRAMEWORK

In order for marketers to create successful social media strategies, a clear framework is crucial. Many experts within the field of marketing have shared their perspectives, including Gaurav Mishra’s The 4Cs Social Media Framework, Michael Brenner’s 4 C’s of Social Media, Sean Nelson’s The 4 C’s of Social Media and Tom Pick’s The Four C’s of Social Media Marketing.

Each framework has a similarity, but they also have different views on the Four C’s of Social Media. However, entrepreneurs and business owners learn important tips to use for successful social media marketing.

THE FOUR C’S OF SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

The following 4 C’s (content, conversation, community, connections) can be powerful in generating more success for your business and brand.

1. CREATE GOOD CONTENT

This is your moment of truth. How are your posts? If you’re providing content that they find value in, your audience will pay attention.

You’ve heard the saying, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.

It’s important to develop a marketing plan and social media calendar. This will help you create coordinated, good content for your community.

2. STRIKE UP A CONVERSATION

Do you remember that cute boy or girl you liked? You eagerly awaited their phone calls or text messages?

You wanted to catch their attention. Well, your audience also wants your attention too. Make sure your clients feel important.

This is something I love doing with my Instagram community. For instance, you can ask questions through your posts, IGTV, and IG Stories.

Ask for their opinions, advice or recommendations. Aim for fast responses to show you care.

3. BUILD A COMMUNITY

As a purposeful, service-based entrepreneur, this is your chance to build a community of like-minded people and make a difference in the world.

Create a space where people feel safe to share their opinions and interests.

Start conversations that give customers a sense of trust and belonging.

4. CONNECTIONS

Determine where your audience spends time. Are they on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or other platforms?

It’s important to understand your community and focus your attention on that social media platform.

Social media provides great ways to make real connections with clients and interact.

Follow, unfollow? No! Don’t focus just on numbers.

In conclusion, as you implement the 4C’s, you will notice your business and brand move to another level.
