You talked yourself out of launching your new service or product.

You think about all the steps you need to take to launch the product. You want everything to be perfect before you launch. Before you know it, you haven’t launched for months.

You can take some simple, actionable steps to stop doubting yourself and help your clients solve their problems.

Recently, I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts, “Online Marketing Made Easy” with Amy Porterfield.

This particular episode featured Stu McLaren, who shared valuable insights on launching a membership, product, or service, even if you have a small audience.

Here are some simple, achievable steps that I’d took away from the episode that will also help you with your brand and business:

Tip 1: Say Goodbye to Perfectionism

Don’t wait until everything is perfect before taking action.

As you prepare to launch a new product or service, it’s important to let go of perfectionism.

McLaren shared a story about hosting a workshop for a small group of people.

  • He outlined the content of the workshop and invited those interested to send him a direct message.
  • By following up with those who responded, he filled a second workshop in Toronto.

Later, he even organized a workshop in Hawaii simply by sending an email to his audience.

McLaren recommends using your online platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, or email, to reach out to your audience, even if it’s just a few hundred people.

Tip 2: 5 Steps to Take Action

When you have an idea you’re considering, follow these five steps to take action with your audience:

  1. Create a vision for your idea. Remember, it’s a collaborative effort.
  2. Invite your audience to join you on this journey. People love being a part of something from the ground floor. There’s no risk for them to show interest.
  3. Give them a clear call to action. Whether it’s sending a direct message on social media or replying to an email, let them know how to respond.
  4. Follow up with those who respond. Keep them engaged and informed about what’s coming next.
  5. Shift your focus from fear and self-doubt to serving and helping your audience solve their problems.

McLaren emphasizes that these steps are simple, but many people fail to take action due to:

  • Perfectionism: Waiting to have everything figured out before launching.
  • Fear of no one buying: Worries about lack of interest or sales.
  • Fear of looking foolish: Shift the focus from self-doubt to serving and helping the audience with their problems.

Launching a new product or service can be scary, but by implementing these tips, you’ll gain the confidence to move forward.

Remember, the key is to take action and focus on serving your audience. Good luck with your launch!
