“Setaccio la vita scartando marci gusci ritrovandomi deliziose ambizioni.” ~ Luca Macri

SIEVE LIFE AND FIND AMBITION

When I read these words written by my friend, they really resonated with me and life’s journey. In English, this phrase could be translated as “Sieve life by discarding rotten shells and finding beautiful or delightful ambition.”

SUCCESS LESSONS FROM INDIANA JONES

You see, life may not always feel as exciting as an Indiana Jones movie. As a child, I remember enjoying each new movie and admiring his leather jacket, fedora and the way he ran through exotic countries being chased by bad guys to find some hidden treasure.

Indiana Jones was able to wreak havoc during his adventures outside of the classroom. I later learned that most archeologists aren’t finding long-lost relics in this way. Instead, they take their time sifting, sieving and screening to improve their rate of recovering ancient artifacts. The process is often painstaking, but the reward great. It’s not a letdown. It’s how we can approach life to have more success, freedom, and happiness.

Do you have ambitious goals for your future? Here are four things you can do to focus on more success:

1. Make a commitment

Commitment leads to ambition. Perhaps, you have ambitions of being an industry leader in your niche and building a global brand. What would it feel like to make more money, travel the world, and have more joy? Well, it’s a new week with new opportunities.

Ambition requires commitment. You can sift through your life and remove what’s holding you back from accomplishing your goals and dreams. If you need to remove self-doubt, gain new insights on how to become your best self and create your ideal life, you can start today.

2. Discard negative thinking

As the quote mentioned, sieve or take a close look at your life and discard negative thoughts. Positive thinking can improve your chances of success. It can empower you to reach your ambitious goals. Negative thinking can sabotage your goal-setting process. As I work with clients, I’m a big believer in using positive affirmations and scriptures focused on combatting challenging life areas. Positive thinking and self-confidence can help get you through the difficult periods when pursuing your goals.

3. Break down your goals

Finding hidden treasures requires different steps. Achieving ambitious goals can be more attainable when you break them down into smaller goals. Take your monthly goal and break it down into weeks. It will be less overwhelming to break your weekly goals into days. I personally break down my daily goals and list my top three goals, which is more manageable.

4. Get help

Remember, most archeologists don’t work alone and beautiful things come from the sieving process. Often, you may find you do better with external accountability. If you need someone to hold you accountable, external support can help you accomplish your goals. Although goals are personal, you don’t have to do it alone. Ask someone you trust to support you, help you, and be your cheerleader through the process. If you need more clarity, let’s chat. I offer a limited amount of complimentary, 20-minute clarity calls each month. You can apply at https://onefulllife.as.me/claritycall
